Does self-hosting remove the subscription?
Not when you use OpenPhonex Cloud. Self-hosting can remove hosted-media and hosted-AI usage, but managed numbers, control plane, billing, compliance, and operations remain part of the plan. Running the entire open-source stack independently is free.
Why can outbound prices vary by destination?
Carrier floors differ by country, network, and number prefix. OpenPhonex applies the published margin formula and shows the destination quote before use instead of hiding it behind one unsustainable global rate.
What is included in a hosted-AI minute?
The Standard and Premium hosted-AI rates include speech recognition, the language model, voice synthesis, the media runtime, and telephony for that call.
Are phone-number activation fees included?
Monthly number prices are separate from the plan. Some countries also require registration or one-time carrier fees; those are shown for review before the number is assigned.
